iPod Touch to Be Next Big Homebrew Gadget

Posted By: wraggster

Apple a few days ago unleashed the Ipod Touch a new version of the iPod which already it seems is capable of running the same files as the homebrew friendly Apple Iphone.

Now for those not familiar the Iphone has already seen a mass of homebrew released for it including Nes Emulators, Frotz, Doom and MAME is being worked on.

With the worldwide popularity of the iPod and this much easier way to get homebrew on it coupled with the Touch Screen we could see a major homebrew scene in the making. Interesting times ahead.

Apple News will have all the latest news as it happens.

Details on the "Killer " Handheld

Posted By: wraggster

It must be a year since i found out about a new project from CraigIX (Owner of the former GBAX.com Shop - Best one in Europe for DS etc) and now owner of GP2X UK.

Now because sites like Engadget have made the news public and got it wrong a tad too then i thought it was about time i posted what i know about the handheld that has been told to me will be more powerful than the PSP.

The handheld is not being made by Gamepark so thats one rumour dead. Craigix and some others are behind it and most likely it will be made in China (not 100% confirmed). The Console will be Linux Based again (like the GP2X). It will have a decent 2D and 3D Graphics Chip. I gather it will have a very nice 128MB of Ram, it will use SD Cards. It will have a touchscreen. TV Out will also be an option. The screen is rumoured to be 800x400 resolution, i understand that Sony/Sharp have the deets on the 480 screen. Wifi is also on the cards.

The console at this time doesnt have a Public name but sometime in October we will know for sure. It promises to be an exceptional console for homebrew and other items not 100% confirmed are some kind of keyboard too.

The price im told will be around the £150.

Like everything things change but it sounds a mouthwatering console, taking the ideas for the GP2X and features from the PSP/DS and making what could be a Dream Homebrew Handheld that doubles as a Console too.

DCEmu Tutorials - The Peoples Guide and Tutorials Site

Posted By: wraggster

With the success of DCEmu Reviews a site that has its content showing up on our PSP, DS, Wii, PS3 and Xbox360 and the main DCEmu Portal site. I Wanted to create a new Guide/Tutorials site where new guides and tutorials will show up on any of our network sites.

Just like our news where any coders can upload their releases and post releases and WIP News this will be extended to our Guides and Tutorials Site.

We will be accepting Guides and Tutorials for any Console Scene We Cover and the beauty of it is because the creators will be you the DCEmu Members which means that if you please you can update as you want. What this will mean that if all goes well then this new site could be a great help base for the whole Homebrew scene.

The forums are already set up here and you can submit new Guides and Tutorials in our new Submit Tutorials/Guides Forum

The Site is still being worked on but will be ready at the weekend.

So if you have any guides and tutorials for PS3, Wii, Xbox360, PSP, Nintendo DS, GP2X, GBA, Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, Gizmondo, Iphone, iPod, Tapwave Zodiac, GP32, Dreamcast, Sega Saturn and others, then we want them

Posted By: JKKDARK

New version of the Sega Saturn emulator for PC.

Changelog:

The interruption processing of SCU was corrected.

Version of the state saving data changed.

Because the interruption processing of SCU is the expectation where this one is correct,
When it can have re-checking also the software which moved for the first time with Ver0.09 prototype it is saved.
In addition, when there is a memory access weight and it is cash effective, there is a software which does not move.
As for [bachiyahuaita] and the [pantsuadoragun] Ⅱ etc please make sure to remove check.
Inside that, even with there to be check, it tries to move the schedule… which

A new version of the multi-platform Sega Saturn emulator Yabause has been released today. As usual, this release contains binaries for Dreamcast, Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. The main fixes involve emulation of VDP1 Lines and VDP2 Rotation Screens that apply to most of those ports listed above.
