Kronos v1.4.5 is released. Kronos is a unofficial port of Yabause SEGA Saturn Emulator( http://yabause.org/ ).

Sega has delayed the launch of its Mega Drive Mini console into 2019.
According to a statement from Sega, it had been working toward a launch before the end of 2018, after announcing the system in April this year.
The statement, which was translated by Gematsu, acknowledged that the size of the response in territories outside of Japan was a factor in the delay. Sega also stated that it is rethinking the design of the hardware, building out its core team with new talent experienced in software development.
Sega is now preparing a Genesis model for North America and a Mega Drive model for Europe, with all versions set to launch simultaneously worldwide.
Earlier today, Sony announced its own entry into the retro console market with the PlayStation Classic, which will beat the Mega Drive Mini to market on December 3.

Daytona USA on the Sega Saturn sells the console, heres a new emulator release:
Nova v0.4.0 is released. Nova is a Sega Saturn Emulator(SS Emulator) for Windows. Nova is capable to run several commercial games, but it's still in its early stage.
Features:
1.automatically select regions.
2.automatically select cartridge types by editing cart.json.
3.automatically save backup memory.
Nova doesn't support:
1.save/load states
2.run games via a CD drive

Heres some great news from the Spanish Dreamcast website:
Indeed, our "beta man" Comby Laurent has kept his promise and has just released this new beta of the unreleased Half Life of Dreamcast!
This version is the 04/20/2001, with internal number 1638, it is older than the one that was already on the Internet (1672), but it is very interesting because it can contain new material that allows, for example, to make a version with online gaming and replicate mods like the Counter Strike!
Also they comment that it is the first version that is obtained in GDI, and that there are no compressions of audio nor cuts so that it fits in a CD.

RymCast v1.0.6 is released.RYMCast is a VGM player for Sega Genesis/Megadrive videogame music files. Based on our work for the RYM2612 Iconic FM Synthesizer, RYMCast is a highly accurate and genuinely sounding cross platform VGM player. It’s our humble contribution to the Sega Genesis/Megadrive community.
RymCast v1.0.6 changelog:
- main window now cannot be maximized
- fixed CH3 Special Mode keyOn/keyOff behavior with tracker exported VGM
files (issues #0000036 and #0000038)
- YM2612 registers are now reset when needed (issues #0000027, #0000036 and #0000037)

Want to relive the Sega Saturn, well heres a chance:
It has been quite rough here over the past couple of months due to continuing health issues, so I want to apologise for lack of updates or new releases. I'm starting to do a bit better now, so I'm glad I was able to finish up this latest magazine just now.
What better way to spend a hot summer afternoon than to take you back to the fall of 1997. With the release of issue number 24 of the Official Sega Saturn Magazine.
There's a ton of content again in this one, so let's get started! First of, we have features for Duke Nukem 3D, Marvel Super Heroes, Panzer Dragoon Saga and Sonic R. Then we take a look at the Japanese only releases: Silhouette Mirage and MegaMan X4, as well as the arcade version of Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter. Then we take a look at reviews for Last Bronx, Marvel Super Heroes and Duke Nukem 3D.

Some news for GameGear fans:
Filler and Supper have completed a fully playable English language translation patch for Mahou Kishi Rayearth a.k.a. Magic Knight Rayearth on the Game Gear. Published by SEGA and released on Dec 16, 1994, Magic Knight Rayearth is a short RPG based on the manga/anime series of the same name. It follows an alternate story-line where Mokona runs off and the three girls have to find them.
The project was originally started in 2004 when Filler dumped and translated some of the script text, and it was recently revived when Supper took the reins about 5 months ago. 11,777 script lines, 200+ kb of C++ code, 2,156 lines of assembly hacks, 60k of additional Japanese script translation, and many many hours later, the project is now ready for the public.
Thanks go out to Cccmar for completing a beta test play-through, 730 for their assistance on the script translation forum, Ded302 for their original efforts at hacking the game, Supper for the super-human hacking and graphics work, and Filler for starting the project and seeing the script translation through to the end. It’s worth checking the readme for the full story of the technical work performed on the project. Please enjoy!
